Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work on mobile phones?
No. The getDisplayMedia API required for screen recording is only supported on desktop browsers. Mobile devices are not supported by any browser currently.
Can I record a specific application window instead of my whole screen?
Yes. When the browser prompts you to choose a source, select “Window” and then pick the specific application. This keeps your recording focused and private.
Why is there no audio in my recording?
Ensure you have checked “Include Microphone Audio” before starting, and that your microphone is working (test it with our Mic Test tool). System audio (like a video playing) may not be captured unless you enable “Share audio” in the browser’s source picker.
Is Screen Recorder free and private?
Yes — it is 100% free, needs no sign‑up, and everything runs in your browser; your data never leaves your device.
