How to Use Stock Profit Calculator

  1. Enter your buy and sell prices. Input the price per share at which you purchased and the price at which you sold (or plan to sell).
  2. Set the quantity. The number of shares you traded; the gross profit is simply (sell price − buy price) × quantity.
  3. Add brokerage percentages. If your broker charges a fee on both buy and sell sides, enter those percentages. The calculator deducts them to show the net profit.
  4. Click Calculate. You’ll see gross P&L, net P&L after brokerage, return percentage, and the exact sell price needed to break even including charges.

Benefits of Stock Profit Calculator

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the calculator include STT, GST or SEBI charges?

It only deducts the percentage brokerage you enter. Securities Transaction Tax, GST on brokerage, stamp duty and SEBI turnover fees are not included. For a full tax view, use the Capital Gains Tax Calculator.

What if I sold only a part of my holdings?

Enter the quantity you actually sold. The calculator works for partial sales; just use the buy price of those specific shares if you bought at different prices.

How is the break‑even price calculated?

It is the sell price at which the net profit becomes exactly zero after both buy and sell brokerage. The formula accounts for the fact that sell brokerage is charged on the sale value.

Is Stock Profit Calculator free and private?

Yes — it is 100% free, needs no sign‑up, and everything runs in your browser; your data never leaves your device.

Disclaimer: Actual brokerage may include minimum charges, STT, stamp duty etc. Use as an estimate only.
