How to Use Net Worth Calculator

  1. List your assets. Use the dynamic rows to add items like cash, bank balances, investments, property, gold, vehicle and any other assets with their current market values.
  2. List your liabilities. In the second section, add all debts — home loan, personal loan, credit card balances and other payables — with the outstanding amounts.
  3. Click Calculate. The tool sums all assets and all liabilities, then subtracts to show your net worth in a clear stat card.
  4. Use Save and Load. Save your data to your browser’s localStorage so you can return and update it quarterly. The asset mix table also shows what percentage each asset contributes to your total wealth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I include as an asset?

Everything you own that has realisable value: cash, savings accounts, FDs, stocks, mutual funds, EPF, NPS, property at current market value, gold, and vehicles. Exclude personal items like furniture or gadgets with negligible resale value.

Should I include my primary residence in net worth?

Yes, at its approximate current market value, because it is a significant asset. However, since you need a place to live, some people track net worth both with and without the primary home for a clearer picture of investable wealth.

How often should I calculate my net worth?

Quarterly is ideal. Monthly updates are too frequent due to market swings; yearly is too rare to catch problems. The save feature makes quarterly updates a 5‑minute exercise.

Is Net Worth Calculator free and private?

Yes — it is 100% free, needs no sign‑up, and everything runs in your browser; your data never leaves your device.
